This can pay handsome dividends if done correctly. Your customers can become your greatest fans and recommend your services to their friends. They can also give unsolicited testimonials which also give you more credibility. There is no better source of credibility than positive social recognition.


Market your accounts. Make sure that you have clear cut goals for what you want out of social media. You’ll also need to market your accounts so that you can gain more connections. Add your Facebook page URL and Twitter URL to emails and any printed material that you have created.



Use social media marketing solutions to direct people to your website. Social media is limited compared to what a website can offer. For instance, you cannot directly sell a product from your page on social media, but you can from a website. Doing this can lead to a direct sale by using social media marketing solutions.


Generate search engine traffic. There’s no way that you’ll be able to make a sale unless you get online users visit your website. Don’t worry as there are several traffic-generating tools that you can make use of — without burning your pockets. There’s SEO and article marketing (highly recommended), blogging, social media marketing management, link building, and video marketing.


Create a business page to market your business so that you can add followers. This is not the same as your Facebook profile. A basic profile will limit you in how you can engage people and in the applications that you can take advantage of to engage people. Creating a Facebook PAGE (otherwise known as fan page) is an absolute must.



Those are three easy steps to jump start your business online. Remember, setting a schedule for your business, your interactions, and yourself are all major parts in being successful in any business online or offline.
